Chapter 5- Building an educational philosophy in a changing world
To build on the educational philosophies of others is one strategy that can help to develop one's own personal philosophy. In this chapter it is described six educational philosophies: Essentialism that focus on to transmit the cultural heritage and develop good citizens. Behaviriosm focus on carefully developed behavioral objectives and contends empirical evidence. Positivism rejects essences, intuition, and beliefs about mind, spirit, and consciousness. Progressivism emphasizes ideas that should be experimented and that learning is rooted in questions developed by students. Humanism believes innate goodness of the person and schools should emphasize the relationship between teacher and students. Constructivim emphasizes developing personal meaning through hands-on, activity-based teaching and learning. In conclusion, daily one must consider the effect in a philosophy of education for acting responsibly in society.

influencing religious education and arts.
Such as, Thomas Aquinas and Medieval universities helped to change this
period, with new educational and philosophical views and increase in educational
activity. Then, Renaissance when Vittorino da Feltre was an important and
influential educator who established several schools. Also, Erasmos was the
most famous humanist educator. In addition, the Reformation was another important
movement in the period between 1300-1700 when Education in transition. Time
when Martin Luther who was against Roman Catholic Church, Ignatius of Loyola
who organized the Society of Jesus, Comenius who reflected the increasing
interest that was then evolving in science. Another important period was
Educational awakening when Descartes, Voltaire, Rousseau, Pestalozzi, Herbart
and Froebel contributed to educational advancement in various ways. In
conclusion, we can understand many aspects looking at history and realize that viewpoints
on education have varied through the ages.

However, teachers who are successful are gathering and finding some ways to improve their work in class. Also, they can learn every day more and be updated with their resources to teach better.Salary is a challenge also, because in some schools teacher gain lowersalary than they deserve. In conlusion, to be a great teacher requires some attitudes, such as to be flexible, optimistic, self-reflective, preogressive, and innovative. Reflection Sebastian's speech
Sebastian talked about race and some of the challenges that black people had faced. He say equality is something that people would have, to be successful. Just equality give to people success in their lives. It is not the color of the skin, but the intelect ability shows what someone is in personality and your skills.
Also, he said that interpretation is different between languages, and it is not one better than another. In adition, Sebastian talked about children and how theyr feel safe when meet someone like them. Children like someone who give motivation and respect. Education changes people and construct their personality.

Rushed maths leads to "superficial" learning, reports says.
It is proved that students in primary have ability from second level through the curriculum. This is an issue that requires a reform to produce a curriculum to students in Level-A. This can be a challenge, but student might be fine studying in their time. Because the result is not successful, students just have superficial understanding about Maths. Despite of England have been on top, researches shows that schools only has accelerated their students and this is not a proof that students are learning as they should. However, the government is providing a review in the schools to change this situation.

How to help with primary reading, maths, homework.
This article talks about how help children to like to read. Parents can help their children since they are a little baby, before they can read. Also, take children to the library encourage them to like it. Parents should read to them books that are interesting, such as books in different languages. Furthermore, books must be in a place where children can take them. In the maths studies parents can show to their children that Maths is around us daily. Also, children can learn playing interesting games , puzzles and jigsaws to develop their math skills. Maths can be learn through the shapes around home, let children manage their money, such as look for plates on the streets.
Parents should help their children to do homework, but not parent do instead of children. First they should be in a quiet place to have concentration and learn better, such as no TV or anything that could distracts children; to know the new methods to help children, such as "timetable and agree on when your child will do their homework."
