About Mr. Johnson speeches.

Mr.Philip Johnson had a good participation in our class in 09/12/2012, that talked about "Reflection on teaching". He showed and discussed about 12 important questions about teaching. Those 12 question involve teachers needs in classroom, the various ways to include children with special needs and what kind of disabilities are found at classroom, strategies to do the best and what challenges on way. And personally how him 25 years working at classroom has being and him advice gave to working with parents and that comunication to work better with them.

The one question that most took my attention was: What resources  are avaliable in schools to help work with students with special needs in your classroom? Well, when the school has a good teacher, the resources can be created by own teachers and doing a good job with that children. Likewise, the other side can be hard. Even the teacher is good and no resources, the work at the school can be weak or missed some activities that could be better to the children.

Anyway, a good teacher reflects about your job with the children and supporting them of the better way as possible.

Brian Williams talked with over 300 teachers from across the country in Education Nation's 2012 Teacher Town Hall.

      They talk about many problems in American Education and bring questions no answer. The TV presenter bring a guest from oyler community learning center that speaks about their project in the schools.
 I agree when the wanda Neville (oyler community learning center) when she says that  with their school and principle they have to be able to bring Private and Public school that \could "combine resources, customize that our students needs specifically..." But, she said something obvious "The children deserve it a superior education".
     There are many problems with American Education (but, all around the world, too) that increase every more and no answer. Anyway, the people just says this or that should be done, just theories. But didn't say HOW this should be done! 

Chapter 3- Historical perspectives of Education

       The History of Education show many advanced and struggle during the all past. Happened many changes in American education thus far. The increase of the numbers of students, teachers  and help from the Government.
       We can see the increase the number of students because came from rural settings also. Then, which it was required more teacher and building with large schools to support these students. For the teachers such as the increase of educational curricula, various programs that attend different levels, includ students with special needs; the preparation of teachers changed the way of how to be a teacher, not a simple teacher, but well prepared to work, through exigent training. Thereafter the government helps the Education, with the criating of various programs to attend all the staff at school, to regularization of the working at the schools.
     This way the Education can be better and work well to all the students and attend them how they deserve it. Also, the teacher have had more value for the Government and work in partner to do the best for the children future.

Reflection "2 million minutes".

The video is about three students from different cultures and how their time is spent in the High School. That video show their routines, their families and hobbies.  The americans students spent less time studying Math than students from India and China, that's why they were the less succesful in competitions. 
I could see that the more the students dedicate your time to study, more succesful they are in their career.When one person is focusing on the future and want to be somebody succesful in the life, this person can do everything to get your goal. 

Education Article 1

This news talk about the real life in a rural zone in some cities in many parts of Brazil.

Many public elementary schools has a precarious situation. Many of them doesn't have even a restroom to the students. It's a sad situation see that many students don't have opportunities to study in good conditions.

Some policies published says that each student will have a tablet to make your study better. But the question is: when?
These students even hasn't a restroom and to have a 'tablet' looks like a distant future.
When politicies will do something beyond the paper?

Reflection about the DVD "Speaking in Tongues"

       Many times we think that some people are fool or stupid for can't speak our language, until that one day you see yourself in a situation that you are the fool. The world is more interesting  with many languages, with your own structure, your way of pronounce, speaking and writing.

         This video show the difficulties about learning a different language and how the people feel before many words that you don't know the meaning. Are many funny moments, some moments that you feel anguished and others that you get well and getting proud of yourself. But, it's through the mistakes that you learn. The more you practice and listening you learn more, you don't forget the words learned before and learn news words.

      The result can be the best if you think that you can and try to learn to speak and hold a conversation in a foreign language, even making some mistakes in the begining.

Existem pessoas em nossas vidas que nos deixam felizes pelo simples fato de terem cruzado o nosso caminho. Algumas percorrem ao nosso lado, vendo muitas luas passarem, mas outras apenas vemos entre um passo e outro. A todas elas chamamos de amigo. Há muitos tipos de amigos.

Talvez cada folha de uma árvore caracterize um deles.
O primeiro que nasce do broto é o amigo pai e o amigo mãe. Mostram o que é ter vida.
Depois vem o amigo irmão, com quem dividimos o nosso espaço para que ele floresça como nós.
Passamos a conhecer toda a família de folhas, a qual respeitamos e desejamos o bem.
Mas o destino nos apresenta outros amigos, os quais não sabíamos que iam cruzar o nosso caminho. Muitos desses denominados amigos do peito, do coração. São sinceros, são verdadeiros. Sabem quando não estamos bem, sabem o que nos faz feliz...

O tempo passa, o verão se vai, o outono se aproxima, e perdemos algumas de nossas folhas.

Algumas nascem num outro verão e outras permanecem por muitas estações.
Mas o que nos deixa mais feliz é que as que caíram continuam por perto, continuam alimentando a nossa raiz com alegria. Lembranças de momentos maravilhosos enquanto cruzavam com o nosso caminho.
Desejo a você, folha da minha árvore, Paz, Amor, Saúde, Sucesso, Prosperidade...
Hoje e Sempre... simplesmente porque: "Cada pessoa que passa em nossa vida é única. Sempre deixa um pouco de si e leva um pouco de nós. Há os que levaram muito, mas não há os que não deixaram nada. Esta é a maior responsabilidade de nossa vida e a prova evidente de que duas almas não se encontram por acaso".
